This circuit covers several climates in ten days - hill-station cold at Shimla, Manali, Then Dharamshala and Dalhousie in the much warmer plains of Amritsar. Wear layers you can add and remove during the trip.
Best months are March to June and September to November for consistent weather across all five towns. December–February brings snow to Kufri, Manali and Solang (beautiful, but can slow driving), while July–August can bring monsoon delays on the hill legs.
This is a family friendly course at moderate altitude and requires no acclimatization. The Atal Tunnel route is used year-round; road conditions to Sissu depend on the season and will be confirmed before departure.

Road Conditions
The roads connecting Chandigarh, Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Dalhousie and Amritsar are well maintained throughout. All the hill stretches have continuous hairpin bends. After you leave the hills the final Dalhousie-Amritsar leg is down onto flat, fast highway.

The tour begins from Chandigarh which is well connected by flights, trains and road transport from Delhi, Jaipur and other major cities and ends in Amritsar which has its own international airport and railway station for onward travel.
